How to get here
Overview
A stone throw’s from a wealth of stunning waterfront restaurants, five-star hotels and first rate shopping, Abu Dhabi’s Destination Village blends world-class facilities with unrivalled entertainment – in-port racing, city receptions and headline concerts and entertainment – which all makes for a memorable visit.
To ensure ease of access in and out of the Destination Village throughout the two week hosting, please see below a number of preferred bus shuttle and parking options.
Please note: Destination Village operating times are from 11:00-23:00 daily, unless specified. Entry is free to the public, except for Coldplay Live At The Volvo Ocean Race, which takes place adjacent to the village on 31st December 2011.
Corniche Park and Ride
| Where: | At the Beach Parking Area on the Corniche |
| Services: | A 50 seater bus shuttle service will run approximately every 15 minutes to the Volvo Ocean Race’s Destination Village. Reserved parking area for visitors. No charge for parking or use of bus shuttle. |
| Route: | From bus shuttle collection point, clearly marked at parking location, the route runs to a drop off area in front of the Destination Village entrance. Passengers can hop on and off at this point. From here the bus goes to the Heritage Village before returning to the beach parking. |

Destination Village Park and Ride (near Marina Mall)
| Where: | Open areas on the north east and eastern side of Marina Mall (on the right hand side of the ring road) |
| Services: | A 50 seater bus shuttle service will run approximately every 10 minutes to the Volvo Ocean Race Destination Village. There is also a managed park area for visitors. No charge for parking or for the shuttle. |
| Route: | From bus shuttle collection point, clearly marked at parking location, the route runs to a drop off area in front of the Destination Village entrance. Passengers can hop on and off at this point. From here the bus goes to the Heritage Village before returning to the main parking. |

Parking at Marina Mall/Public Parking Areas
All public parking areas, unless otherwise indicated, are available on a first come first served basis for either Marina Mall shoppers or Destination Village visitors. Those parking at Marina Mall will have to walk to the Destination Village, using the pedestrian crossing indicated below, or at the traffic light junction where Breakwater Road intersects with 18th Street:
